TheraGauze™ Awarded APMA Approval

(Newport News, Virginia) Soluble Systems, LLC announced today that American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) has awarded its Seal of Approval for TheraGauze™. TheraGauze™ is an advanced primary wound care interface designed to help heal challenging wounds such as diabetic foot ulcers, venous stasis ulcers and pressure sores.

“Gaining the APMA’s Seal of Approval is a notable accomplishment,” says APMA Executive Director Glenn B. Gastwirth, DPM. “The Seal Program recognizes worthy products, such as TheraGauze™ and provides the means by which the APMA can contribute to better foot health. Everyone wins, especially the patients who ultimately benefit directly with better foot health and better mobility.”

In order to be granted the prestigious Seal of Approval, TheraGauze™ was evaluated and approved by a panel of doctors of podiatric medicine. Their recommendation was then presented to the APMA Board of Trustees for final action. Criteria for approval included evidence of product safety, quality control systems, and product effectiveness.

Adam Landsman, Assistant Professor, Harvard Medical School and Attending Physician, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston, Massachusetts is Soluble Systems Medical Advisor. Dr Landsman states, “I am happy to see that the APMA Seal of Approval has been granted to TheraGauze. This is my product of choice for the most complex wounds, but works great when just a little moisture control is needed as well.”
