
(Newport News, Virginia) Soluble Systems, LLC announced today the appointment of Michael Weber as Director of Research & Development and Quality Assurance. Mr. Weber’s experience in pharmaceutical R & D and manufacturing compliments the rapidly increasing market demand for TheraGauze™. TheraGauze™ is an advanced primary wound care interface designed to help heal challenging wounds such as diabetic foot ulcers, venous stasis ulcers and pressure sores.

Mr. Weber has over 13 years experience in pharmaceutical R&D and manufacturing at both branded and generic firms, most recently at Amgen Manufacturing and Pfizer Global Research. He started his career as an analytical chemist, with research projects including food chemistry, laser spectroscopy, and separations using capillary electrophoresis and HPLC. As a QA professional, Mr. Weber brought newly formed labs into GMP compliance, led multi-site investigations for FDA Pre-Approval Inspection readiness, and developed many pilot programs for new projects. His particular areas of expertise include developing robust quality systems, auditing current systems and GMP compliance. He earned a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Maryland in 1994.
