Journal honors bandage TheraGauze

TheraGauze, a wound dressing manufactured in Hampton by Soluble Systems LLC, has been named one of the top 10 "Top Innovations in Podiatric Care" by the medical journal Podiatry Today.

The magazine published the list in its August issue, and TheraGauze is listed at No. 5. The article highlights TheraGauze's proprietary "Skin Moisture Rebalancing Technology," which enables the dressing to "read" a wound and donate or absorb moisture as needed to enhance healing.

Kerry McCarter, chief executive officer of Soluble Systems LLC, said, "We are proud that TheraGauze was included in this prestigious list and proud of the healing benefits that thousands of Americans have received from our product."

Soluble Systems LLC is the manufacturer and distributor of a line of advanced wound care dressings under the brand name TheraGauze. TheraGauze is manufactured in a certified clean room in Hampton. The firm's corporate offices are in Newport News.
