TheraSkin is a cryopreserved human skin allograft with both epidermis and dermis layers. TheraSkin provides a supply of growth factors, cytokines and collagen to promote wound healing. When applied to a wound that is not healing properly, use of TheraSkin can jumpstart the healing process.

Moisture Regulating Product shows promise as platform for delivering topical antimicrobials NEWPORT NEWS, Virginia (February 10, 2010) – Soluble Systems, LLC announces that funding has been approved in the 2010 Defense Appropriations Bill to support a Stage 1 multi-site clinical study to investigate TheraGauze as a new battlefield wound dressing and antimicrobial release platform. This smart dressing shows promise for preventing and treating infection, speeding healing and ultimately reducing the morbidity associated with battlefield injuries.

Daily Press Local Business Briefs: Hampton

TheraGauze, a wound dressing manufactured in Hampton by Soluble Systems LLC, has been named one of the top 10 "Top Innovations in Podiatric Care" by the medical journal Podiatry Today.

The magazine published the list in its August issue, and TheraGauze is listed at No. 5. The article highlights TheraGauze's proprietary "Skin Moisture Rebalancing Technology," which enables the dressing to "read" a wound and donate or absorb moisture as needed to enhance healing.

Plans to Sell TheraGauze™ in Canada in 2010

This Skin Moisture Rebalancing Technology (SMRT) gives wound care dressing TheraGauze™ the unique ability to regulate moisture differentially across a wound bed to enhance healing and reduce spread of infection.

YOUNGSTOWN, OH: Local doctors are teaming up with a medical supplier to treat foot ulcers.

The Ankle & Foot Care Centers are involved in a nationwide study looking for a faster way to heal foot ulcers caused by diabetic neuropathy. After doctors used bioengineered skin to fix the ulcers, they’re comparing the rates of healing using traditional dressings to a new product called TheraGauze.

Dr. Larry DiDomenico says it’s important research that will advance foot care for diabetics.

Ankle & Foot Care Centers, Leading Medical Supplier Team Up For Research Project on Diabetic Foot Ulcers

BOARDMAN, Ohio (March 18, 2009) – A leading supplier of wound dressings is teaming up with Ankle and Foot Care Centers, the region’s largest group of podiatrists, on a research project designed to advance the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers.

Soluble Systems LLC, makers of TheraGauze wound dressings, is funding the research, which is expected to start in April. Local individuals with diabetic foot ulcers are being sought to participate.
