Skin and Wound Allograft Institute (SWAI)
SWAI, the Skin and Wound Allograft Institute, is a wholly owned non-profit subsidiary of LifeNet Health. It was formed in 2008 to provide high quality bio-implant’s for patients with acute burns, traumatic injuries and chronic wounds. The Institute continually strives to be a leader in bio-implant research and discover new therapies to improve the lives of patients that have suffered a debilitating burn, traumatic injury or chronic non-healing wound. W&M Applied Research Center
The College of William and Mary ARC Material Characterization Laboratories occupy eight laboratories in the ARC building. The WM labs are unique, not only in the diverse lab equipment, which consists of plasma sources, materials analysis equipment, cleaning/polishing equipment and ovens, but also in highly skilled lab technicians who have been with the lab since conception. Equipment teaching labs are routinely conducted on the FTIR, SEM, AFM, and Optical Microscopes. Jefferson Lab Applied Research Center
The Applied Research Center is the flagship research facility for the Applied Research Center Consortium. The ARC is home to industrial, university and Jefferson Lab researchers collaborating in the development of new technologies and processes. The Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses Society (WOCN) is a professional international nursing society of more than 4,200 healthcare professionals who are experts in the care of patients with wound, ostomy and incontinence. Soluble Systems, LLC is a corporate member of the WOCN.
American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA)
The American Podiatric Medical Association is the premier professional organization representing the nation's Doctors of Podiatric Medicine (podiatrists). Association For The Advancement of Wound Care (AAWC)
The Association for the Advancement of Wound Care (AAWC) was founded in 1995 to accomplish and promote excellence in education, clinical practice, public policy and research. The AAWC is open to everyone involved in wound care, including clinicians, patients and their lay caregivers, facilities, industry, students, retirees and others interested in the care of wounds, and gives its members the opportunity to build a collaborative community to facilitate optimal care for those who suffer with wounds.
