Soluble Systems, LLC, manufactures and markets a line of advanced sterile wound care dressings under the brand name TheraGauze®. TheraGauze is manufactured in a certified clean room environment under strict quality protocols in Hampton, Virginia. Administrative offices are located in nearby Newport News, Virginia.
In randomized clinical trials and in medical practice, TheraGauze has been shown to be highly effective in treating a wide variety of wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers, venous stasis ulcers, dehisced wounds, skin tears, pressure sores and burns. Additionally, TheraGauze improves the performance of skin grafts, live skin equivalent products, and collagen scaffold products when used as a moist cover dressing.
TheraGauze is a biomimetic, nanostructured wound interface polymer. Patented Skin Moisture Rebalancing Technology (SMRT) gives TheraGauze its unique ability to regulate moisture differentially across a wound bed, and to aid in wound healing without maceration.
TheraGauze will remain moist for multiple days, reducing the number of dressing changes necessary. TheraGauze can be removed without disturbing the wound bed, eliminating patient pain and avoiding interference with the healing process.
In addition to its non-stick properties, TheraGauze has been shown to be a release platform for controlled delivery of aqueous medicaments and other fluids over an extended period of time. This includes a broad selection of anti-microbials.
Available in two sizes, TheraGauze carries the American Podiatric Medical Association Seal of Approval.
Soluble Systems, LLC and the Skin and Wound Allograft Institute (SWAI), a wholly owned subsidiary of LifeNet Health, have partnered to launch TheraSkin®, a biologically active human skin allograft which jumpstarts wound healing in non-progressing chronic wounds.
